How to find us
U-Bahn: U3/U6
Station: Universität
The institute is in the central building of the Ludwig-Maximilians-University in the district Schwabing. Since parking spaces are rare we recommend using the public transportation system.
You reach our institute comfortably with the U-Bahn U3 or U6. After leaving the U-Bahn station "Universität" you turn into Schellingstraße and after 20m you enter through a green gate on your right side into the court yard. Our building is situated opposite of the gate and left of a passage to a second courtyard.
Alternatively you can enter the court yard through the litte passage at Amalienstraße 54 next to the Historicum.
By train:
From Hauptbahnhof take any S-Bahn east (direction Marienplatz). Change at Marienplatz either to U3 (going to Olympiazentrum) or U6 (going to Garching/Hochbrück or Feldmoching) - both go northwards. Get off at Universität, then follow the way detailed above.

By plane:
From Munich Airport take S1 or S8 (only one direction possible). Change at Marienplatz either to U3 (going to Olympiazentrum) or U6 (going to Garching/Hochbrück or Feldmoching) - both go northwards. Get off at Universität, then follow the way detailed above.

By car:
Circle the Mittlerer Ring. Exit onto the Leopoldstraße, drive towards the center. After you pass the bavarian version of the Arc de Triomphe start looking for a parking lot. Good luck!
